OUR SCHOOLS

TEACHERS

BCP teachers are hired through Baltimore City Public Schools and are part of the Baltimore Teachers Union (BTU). Therefore, interested applicants must meet Baltimore City Schools requirements for employment, which include a valid standard professional teaching certificate appropriate to the grade and or subject to be taught.

  • Elementary School Mathematics – Frederick Elementary School
  • Reading Tutor – Frederick Elementary School
  • Reading Tutor/Long-Term Substitute for an 8th Grade Class – City Springs Elementary/Middle
  • After-School Program Assistant Director/Administrative Assistant – Govans Elementary
  • Office Administrator/Secretary – Hampstead Hill Academy

These teaching positions will report to a specific school site.

PARAEDUCATORS

BCP paraeducators are hired through Baltimore City Public Schools and are part of the Paraprofessionals and School Related Personnel (PSRP) union. Therefore, interested applicants must meet Baltimore City Schools requirements for employment, which include at least 48 college credits from an accredited college or university or successful completion of the MSDE ParaPro Assessment.

Special Education Paraeducator

BALTIMORE CURRICULUM PROJECT (BCP) STAFF

BCP Staff are not hired through Baltimore City Public Schools and instead work through BCP as contractors for 10 or 12 months at a time with benefits available the first of the month after hire. Health insurance includes medical, dental, and vision, and 401k eligibility begins after 1 year of work.

Substitute Teacher 

  • High School Diploma required
  • At least 2 years of college coursework/experience
  • Experience in a school setting is strongly preferred

DI Tutor

  • High School Diploma required
  • At least 2 years of college coursework/experience
  • Experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
