At its most recent meeting on June 13, 2024, the Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) Board of Trustees approved a three-year strategic plan to guide BCP operational endeavors. For the past year, BCP has worked with EdScale, a strategic plan firm that consults with states, districts, schools, and education-focused organizations, to create the plan that focuses on BCP’s strengths and addresses its challenges.
“Our plan is nimble and underscores BCP’s nearly three decades of accomplishments in offering exceptional educational and community services in Baltimore,” Laura Doherty, BCP President and CEO, says. “Our objectives to deepen our mission, services, and professional development for our wonderful teachers and staff will strengthen our leadership as Maryland’s largest operator of neighborhood community charter schools.”
At the meeting, the FY25 budget was approved. The board remains focused on several initiatives: including upcoming charter renewals for City Springs Elementary / Middle School, Frederick Elementary School, and Govans Elementary School; Hampstead Hill Academy’s ongoing renovation with a new fundraising campaign for a new playground.
The Board’s Marketing and Fundraising committees are deeply appreciative of all sponsors, donors, and ticket-holders for the recent “Are You Smarter Than a BCP Student” gala. Check out the recap of this successful, memorable night.
