We checked in with Sophie Moraes, Wolfe Street Academy (WSA), Class of 2023, on her educational journey since beginning PreK at WSA.

Attended WSA from PreK through 5th Grade

  • Favorite class: Social Studies
  • Sister: Yasmin, WSA Class of 2021, now at Bryn Mawr School

Currently attends Roland Park Elementary/Middle School, 7th Grade

  • Was accepted into selective Ingenuity Project for 6th Grade; now in Honors Program
  • Favorite class: Honors Math
  • RPEMS Cheerleader

What’s your favorite WSA memory?

“The friendships and relationships I made at Wolfe Street are my favorite parts while I was there. In 1st grade I became friends with two of my classmates and we are still best friends today.”

How did attending a BCP school prepare you for middle school?

“WSA helped prepare me for RPEMS in many ways. My teachers were very helpful in making sure I knew what middle school was going to bring and how to be prepared. At RPEMS, I’m enjoying the accelerated classes and the more challenging material because of how well I was prepared by my elementary school.”

What are your plans for high school and beyond?

“I would like to attend The Bryn Mawr School, as my sister now attends it as a sophomore. It is also relatively close to RPEMS and has the same social circle. When I grow up, I would like to be a lawyer.”

Congratulations, Sophie, on all you are achieving!
