BCP Premieres Documentary & First-Ever Impact Report

As part of its year-long 30th anniversary celebration, Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP, Maryland’s oldest charter school operator) debuted a new short film and Impact Report highlighting BCP’s history and impact on Baltimore City public school education since 1996.

The documentary, produced by Zinnia Films, premiered at the 2026 “Are You Smarter Than a BCP Student?” Gala on the IMAX screen at the Maryland Science Center. The large crowd of BCP leaders, donors, administrators, and educators cheered as BCP Principals and Board Members spoke of the ways BCP and its research-backed programs — Direct Instruction, Restorative Practices, and Community Schools approach — have helped thousands of students and families thrive since BCP’s founding in 1996.

At the Gala, BCP shared its first-ever Impact Report with attendees. This engaging booklet, produced in partnership with Kalix Marketing Group, chronicles BCP’s founding and the voices and stories that have shaped BCP over three decades.
