Baltimore Curriculum Project Welcomes New Team Members

As Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) prepares for another exciting school year, we are pleased to welcome three new members to our headquarters team. Our central office staff supports all six BCP schools by providing leadership, coaching, and resources that help students and educators succeed.

Nora Hogan, Director of Academic Coaching and Development

Nora will lead the network’s instructional coaching efforts, supporting professional learning for educators, and help strengthen teaching and learning across all six BCP schools. 

Throughout her career she has been passionate about developing educators, strengthening instructional practices, and building school cultures where both teachers and students thrive. Nora believes that strong relationships, continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to excellence are the foundation of meaningful educational leadership.

  • B.A., History, Loyola University of Maryland
  • Teacher certification through Baltimore City Teaching Residency
  • M.Ed., Elementary Education and graduate certificate in School Administration, Johns Hopkins University School of Education.
  • Certified in Special Education: Infant through Adult
  • Taught elementary grades and identified as a “model teacher” at Dr. Rayner Browne Academy, a former BCP school
  • Began BCP career in 2011 as Staff Developer at Hampstead Hill Academy
  • Has supported schools across BCP as an Academic Coach
  • Most recently served as a school administrator in Anne Arundel County Public School System. 
  • Lives with her “wonderful husband, their four energetic boys, ages 14, 10, 9 and 5, and their fifth ‘almost-child,’ Bubba, a 2-year-old English Bulldog”

 

Andria Cole, Director of Restorative Practices

Andria will work closely with school leaders and staff to strengthen restorative practices across the network, helping to build positive school cultures, foster strong relationships, and support student success. She brings a trauma-sensitive, compassionate lens to the work and models what she teaches by cultivating inspiring and practical training experiences; building positive connections with all stakeholders; and challenging her partners to center the health of their communities’ relationships above all else.

When Andria was introduced to restorative practices in 2015, they revolutionized her approach to teaching, coaching, and community, effectively transforming her worldview to one grounded in empathy, interconnectedness, and accountability.

  • B.A., English, Morgan State University
  • M.A., Fiction, The Johns Hopkins University, Summa Cum Laude
  • Restorative practices specialist, dialogue circle facilitator, and transformational parenting coach
  • Has supported the schoolwide implementation of restorative and social-emotional practices at dozens of Maryland and  Baltimore City Public Schools and in numerous states
  • Regularly facilitates relationship-building and problem-solving circles for workplace and neighborhood communities, including founding Pimlico Elementary/Middle School’s successful Peaceful Parenting Workshops and Circles
  • Co-founder and co-director, A Revolutionary Summer, a critical reading and writing program for Black children and youth 
  • Former special education teacher for 15 years and an instructional coach for six
  • Most importantly, she is a mom and “deeply fortunate to take the motherhood journey with her daughter Sol and son Jagger”

 

Ted Eccleston, Lead Attendance Monitor

Ted will partner with attendance teams across all six schools to strengthen attendance systems, support school staff, and build on the success of BCP’s pilot Transforming Attendance Initiative. He is excited to bring his experience in schools together with his background in technology and data consulting. 

  • B.S., Mechanical Engineering, University of Delaware
  • 12 years of experience in consulting, startups, non-profits, retail, small business, and education 
  • Taught middle and high school science, math, English, and career readiness at City Schools’ Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy and served as math and English tutor and mentor
  • Lives in Harwood community with his partner, daughter, and cat
  • Also a poet and local tree advocate, often found “near Stony Run, gently crossing the creek or perched on a boulder with his gaze toward the sky”

 

We are excited to welcome Nora, Andria, and Ted to the BCP family. Their expertise, leadership, and commitment to supporting students and educators will strengthen our work across the network as we continue our mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities for every child.
