Reading with Govie

Our BCP schools celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday and Read Across America Day on March 2 with fun celebrations of Dr. Seuss’ lasting impact on book lovers everywhere.

We thought we’d take a page from his wonderful books and share the news, Seussian-style.

Do you like to read? We like it a lot.

BCP schools know that books hit the spot!

March 2nd’s the day that we fete Dr. Seuss.

When you open his books, your mind is let loose!

With the rest of country, we read his great words,

Of Green Eggs and Blue Fish and large yellow birds.

Of a Cat in a Hat who does what he pleases,

And a Lorax who tells us he speaks for the trees-es.

We didn’t stop there, though. We read other books!

We read them in classrooms! We read them in nooks!

Oh, the fun that we had and the places we went.

In each of our schools it was quite the event!
