Alexis Scott, a proud graduate of Hampstead Hill Academy, Class of 2018, is a shining example of what it means to be a BCP scholar, creative, and changemaker.
BCP School Experience
Alexis attended Hampstead Hill Academy as a K–8 student from 2009–2018, where she built a strong academic foundation and developed a deep passion for the arts. Her time at HHA helped shape both her academic discipline and her creative identity.
The Next Chapter: High School
City College High School, Class of 2022
Alexis attended City College High School where she graduated in the Top 5% of her class. During her time there, she earned both the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and the State of Maryland Diploma, reflecting her academic rigor and commitment to excellence.
On to College
New York University – Tisch School of the Arts / Clive Davis Institute, Class of 2026
Alexis attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Clive Davis Institute, where she majored in Recorded Music. She maintained a 3.7 GPA and performed in the 2023 End-of-Semester Showcase.
Where They Are Now
Alexis’s career goal is to work in the music industry as a performer, continuing to grow her artistry and presence in the field.
Q: How did attending a BCP school prepare you for high school and college?
The level of difficulty of the work at HHA helped me figure out what to expect from a school like City. HHA also helped me learn how to form meaningful connections with both my teachers and peers. I still keep in contact with people I’ve known since elementary school and teachers who taught me in middle and high school.
Q: What is your favorite memory of HHA?
My best memories from my time at HHA mostly revolve around 7th and 8th grade when I was a part of the drama club. Being a theater kid in middle school launched me into being a choir kid in high school, which caused my already large love of the world of music to grow.
