Welcome, Nakeya!

Board Meeting highlights included:

Enrollment is up across the six BCP schools, with City Springs Elementary / Middle School and Hampstead Hill Academy seeing the largest increases and minimal decreases for Govans Elementary School and Pimlico Elementary / Middle School. The families returning to the redevelopment Perkins Square community (the new residences where the Perkins Homes neighborhood once stood) are boosting City Springs’ enrollment.

Hampstead Hill Academy and Wolfe Street Academy received 4-star ratings on the MSDE Report Card for SY24, with Wolfe Street improving its rating from the previous year. City Springs also improved from 2 stars to 3 stars this year All three schools up for renewal were recommended for new 3-year terms; Frederick’s renewal recommendation comes with conditions to improve academic performance.

The Hampstead Hill Academy Renovation project is going well and is expected to be completed by April 2025.
