Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
October 9, 2026
Baltimore Curricular Project (BCP) schools are celebrating with students and families during Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. The six BCP schools are showcasing the richness of Hispanic culture, art, and history in different ways.
Teachers across BCP are infusing Hispanic culture and history into lessons and creating art projects that decorate school hallways. Cultural events are also part of the month, from Hampstead Hill Academy’s language exchange with City College students to its Music Night for the HHA community with traditional foods, salsa and Huapango dancing, and more!City Springs Elementary/Middle School 6th graders are presenting a different Hispanic country each day during the morning broadcast. One of the annual Hispanic Heritage Month traditions at Pimlico Elementary/Middle School is the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, a school-day student assembly of music and performances with an encore presentation in the afternoon for families, followed by a cultural dinner.
