Facility Improvements at Baltimore Curriculum Project Schools
July 10, 2026
At Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP), great schools start with great learning environments. This summer, BCP is investing in facility improvements across its network to create safer, more welcoming, and inspiring spaces where students and staff can thrive.
Here’s a look at what’s happening across our schools.
City Springs Elementary/Middle School
Exciting progress continues on the future home of City Springs Elementary/Middle School. Following the demolition of the original school building this spring, the site has been cleared and prepared for construction. Plans for the new school have been finalized, and Baltimore City Public Schools is currently accepting construction bids. The new building will provide students with a modern learning environment for years to come.
Wolfe Street Academy
Planning is underway for a new rooftop heating and cooling (RTU) system, scheduled for installation in 2027. In addition, the rooftop deck on the adjacent rowhouse, purchased by BCP in 2022, is being removed as part of ongoing campus improvements.
Hampstead Hill Academy
Hampstead Hill Academy is preparing for two exciting upgrades: a new elevator, currently in the design phase and scheduled for 2027; and a brand-new playground that will provide students with an enhanced outdoor space for play and learning.
Pimlico Elementary/Middle School
Pimlico Elementary/Middle School is getting a fresh look this summer with several improvements, including a refinished gym floor featuring a new center-court logo and fresh paint throughout the building. These updates build on the recently completed athletic field, creating spaces that reflect Pimlico pride.
Govans Elementary School
Plans are being reviewed to install shade structures over portions of the playground, making outdoor play more comfortable for students during warmer months.
Frederick Elementary School
While no major projects are scheduled this summer, BCP continues to maintain and improve Frederick’s campus to ensure students have a safe and welcoming place to learn.
