HHA and WSA Celebrate Culture and Community

Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) embraces the diversity of Baltimore across its network of six neighborhood conversion charter schools. Throughout the year, BCP schools celebrate the cultures, traditions, and experiences that make their communities unique, creating opportunities for students and families to learn from and connect with one another.

That spirit was on full display at two recent school events. On May 28, Hampstead Hill Academy (HHA) hosted its annual Multicultural Night, bringing together students, families, and staff to share cultural displays, food, music, and traditions from around the world. Just two days later, on May 30, Wolfe Street Academy (WSA) celebrated its annual International Day with performances, international foods, family activities, and a vibrant showcase of the many cultures represented within the school community.

These celebrations are more than school events—they are opportunities for students to develop a deeper appreciation for different cultures, strengthen community connections, and celebrate the diversity that makes Baltimore such a vibrant city.

The celebration continues at Wolfe Street Academy on Friday, July 3, when the school hosts Wolfest, a neighborhood festival tradition since 2007. Two blocks of Gough Street will be closed to traffic as the school and community come together for a day-long street festival featuring activities, entertainment, food, and community partners. The public is welcome to attend and enjoy the continued celebration of the culture and community that make Wolfe Street Academy such a special place.
